Rhyming poet. Hip hop lyricist. Comics writer. Independent.

Since 2004 I've been writing and designing poetic stories that explore our relationship with nature, technology, consciousness, faith, and personal growth.

Most of my work is some kind of mix of hip hop music with illustrated poetry or comics. Sometimes these are big ambitious multimedia productions. Sometimes it's smaller scale work like zines or standalone songs. I also just like rhyming and wordplay for its own sake.

Everything I do is co-created with incredibly talented musicians and visual artists from around the world. None of these collaborative projects would be the same without them.

After a prolific 6-year run from 2012–2017, I took 6 years off from releasing anything to the public. I came back with my first full-length book and an album to accompany it, and now I'm back to regularly releasing work.

I post a bit on Instagram and I make most of my art available digitally, sometimes on streaming apps (search 'Written by Daniel'), but I try to invest more time into the art itself and finding more direct channels. I also believe in the value of physical media, especially when it's designed with intention and care for the person holding the final product. So I may not be building a big audience, my reach and resources are limited, but everything you get from me is high quality and carefully crafted.
